Forensic Analysis
I have been working with audio and visual forensic evidence since 2006, and have provided enhanced audio and video footage for hundreds of clients from legal and corporate backgrounds. I have given testimony as an Expert Witness in court, and have provided consultancy to counsel during a variety of trials, including cases of fraud, theft, and murder.
Each case I complete comes with a Section 9 witness statement, suitable for submission to court. Larger cases are provided with a full forensic report.

VIDEO ENHANCEMENT
These days, cameras are everywhere, and as a result of this, more and more cases are being aided by the submission of video evidence. Unfortunately, the quality of the video that is extracted is not always of a suitable standard to be admissible as evidence, which is why your footage could be enhanced to produce better results. Through various methods, your footage can be slowed down, enlarged, and enhanced, ensuring that relevant events can be see more clearly. Enhancement techniques to sharpen and increase the overall quality of your footage can produce visual evidence that you can actually use and that may be beneficial to your case. Video evidence can come in a variety of forms: mobile phone footage, domestic video cameras/camcorders, CCTV, etc. Footage can be extracted from most sources in order to enhance the quality, or merely provide it in a more watchable format. If you have video footage recorded in an uncommon format, or on a device which is not listed above, please still get in touch, as it may still be accessible. Some older CCTV systems are often recorded onto a DVR system capable of storing hundreds of hours of footage. Unless a system is easily accessible, it is often difficult to narrow down the section of relevant footage that you require. I can inspect the DVR system and attempt to extract the footage that is relevant to your case, making it easier to view the evidence. This can also be enhanced, as detailed above. |
AUDIO ENHANCEMENT
Audio evidence can be vital to a criminal investigation, or corporate disciplinary hearings, but sometimes the quality is just not good enough to submit. Through a series of enhancement and restoration techniques, your audio can be cleaned up so that further dialogue can be detected, along with that winning keyword or sentence that you need in order to close your case. Your footage can be extracted and enhanced from a variety of media sources, including dictaphones (digital, mini and microcassette), mobile phones, covert recording devices, video cameras, computers, analogue cassette tapes and VHS video tapes. This list is not exhaustive, if you have audio footage on a device not listed here, please contact to see if I am able to help. Your audio footage can also be transcribed, providing you with a written account of the dialogue contained within your audio evidence. |
CONVERSION AND DUPLICATION
Audio and video footage can come from a variety of sources, and quite often is in an unusable or obsolete format. Many courtrooms no longer possess the means with which to play a VHS video cassette, or an old style audio cassette tape, but this should not hinder you from being able to present your evidence. Your footage can be extracted and converted from a variety of sources and presented in a format that will be easy to view. VIDEO CONVERSION VHS tapes, camcorder cassettes, mobile phone video footage, etc, can all be converted to digital format, retaining the quality of your footage and making it easier for you to submit. Video can also be supplied in digital file format, transferred to you securely. Please ask for details. AUDIO CONVERSION Audio footage can also come from a variety of sources, which can be converted to a high quality Wave/MP3 data version of your footage. Audio data can be transferred to you securely. Please ask for details. DUPLICATION There are occasions when you may need more than one copy of your evidence, such as to distribute to other solicitors or parties involved in your case. Your evidence can be duplicated without any loss of quality or evidential integrity. |
EXPERT WITNESS
Any work that I carry out for you will always be backed up with a Section 9 witness statement to outline my findings. For larger cases, a full and detailed forensic report is provided. Both witness statements and forensic reports will be presented in a suitable format for submission to court. There is often the situation where you may require me to attend court on either a consultancy basis or to give testimony to outline my findings. This is also something that can be arranged. |
